Merry Christmas!

We hope you are all well and having a Merry Christmas. I've been unable to post anything new to the site due to computer problems, however, it's working for the time being so I thought it was a good opportunity to show off some Christmas picts. Cyrus had a wonderful first Christmas receiving presents and glad tidings from friends and family from across the country. Thank you all for the cards and well wishes. Have a great New Year!

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody

Grandpa Gary came in for Thanksgiving to see his gradson for the first time. Grandma Flo was feeling under the weather so we threw together the best thanksgiving we could muster here at our house. After all was said and done everyone had a good time. We have some good news, Cyrus received thumbs up from the docs this past week and we can start to taper off the heavy meds. It goes without saying we're really excited by this. He's doing great. He started to eat baby foods...sort of...as you can see from the picts...he wears more than he swallows, but he likes it and it's fun to watch him make a mess.

November 16 2008

All is well here at 310 Plainview. Cyrus is getting over the croop for the second time in just about as many weeks ..this time accompanied with an ear infection..the poor little guy has had his fair share of medicines as of late. Despite it all he has kept a smile on his face...
The weather is getting a little colder and it looks as it might stay that way until Spring. The leaves have pretty much fallen...at least in our yard. Christine has been getting rave reviews from her client on her freelance work and I am plugging away myself. Here are a few picts from the past couple of weeks. Sorry it has taken so long to post them. We hope everyone is doing well.

All Hallow's Eve

Halloween has been relativley quiet around here. A few trick or treaters have pased our way taking much less candy than this author ate today at work, sadly enough. Cyrus, Mom and I went to dinner tonight before sunset and took a few pictures along the way. Cyrus was decked out in full Haloween regalia, sporting lots of orange and glow-in-the-dark- eyes on his hat. He received lots of looks and returned many himself as there were many excited kids out.

Uncle Matt

Matt came into town today from Charlotte to see his nephew.
We all had lunch together Grandma Florence and took some photos.
Cyrus is feeling a little under the weather dealing with a cold.
A baby with a cold is a heartbreaking site. We're taking good care of him and hope he'll back to his old self (relative term) soon.
It was good to see Matt and we hope he can visit more often.

Raleigh Greenway

The leaves are starting to turn around here...a great time to be in NC. Here are a few picts from our walk yesterday.

Also, we had a good visit with the neurologist today. He said that Cyrus was doing remarkably well, "If you put him in a room with a bunch of neurologists none of them would be able to tell that anything had ever happened." We're left feeling very positive and hopeful by that but also understand that there is a lot for which we need to keep an eye out. We're thankful everything is going well... Enjoy the pictures.

Sunday

Well it's been a busy weekend. I along with the, help of some friends finished taking the shed down, so now the 20 cubic yard construction dumpster can go away and we can begin work on the new shed..or at least prepare for it to start in the Spring.

Cyrus is doing well as you can see by the attached image. We're going to try and go for a little hike this afternoon along the Raleigh Greenway.

4 months

Cyrus went in for his 4 month checkup and vaccinations this week. He's a whopping 16lbs 4 oz and is 26.5" tall...he's basically a 4 month old in a 6 month old's body. Here are a few pictures of him helping Christine out in her new office. Christine has had the opportunity to do some freelance graphics work allowing her to stay at home with the little guy. He's a happy little boy with a great smile.

yeah, not a good idea

okay so I googled "Diaper Sniper"....and well...let's leave it at - it's a prison term and it really shouldn't be applied to a blog for a child...my child especially, so we're just going to go with his name right now.....

by the way, is anyone getting notification of these updates...?

what happens if I press this button...

Okay so, in theory, when I publish this post to Cyrus's blog Diaper Sniper, you (whoever you are) should get an email stating that it has happened and then you (whoever you are) should then come and see this blog, so... that being said...tadahhh! here is our blog, fully equipped with a healthy dose of cyber-ignorance and lots of picts of Cyrus...we hope you enjoy ....hope it works first and foremost....maybe soon Cyrus will be typing on this thing every night like Doogie Houser...

Dear Diary,

My parents sure are cool......right...
